CAMP INFORMATION & REGISTRATION

JOIN US for more soccer FUN by attending our Summer Camp. We offer the opportunity to enjoy games and activities through a combination of fun, high intensity exercises and small sided games at the Stryker Soccer Complex, located at 2999 N. Greenwich Rd, Wichita, KS 67226.

Our Camp Staff is comprised of TOP COACHES with experience as Professional Players and Coaches from FIFA, UEFA, CONCACAF, USL, UPSL, UWS, ECNL National and Regional League Coaches, and College Coaches. They have designed a unique camp to help players prepare for the upcoming season while building upon their enjoyment and passion for the beautiful game. Players will improve their skills and soccer acumen in our 4-day Preseason Camp.

SHOOT AND SAVE

The Shoot & Save Camp runs simultaneously on days 3 & 4

● The Goalkeeping side of the camp runs all 4 days and focuses on one of the most demanding and mentally challenging positions on the field. This camp’s specialized training develops a player’s presence in the goal as well as footwork, shot stopping, high balls, distribution, and communication. We make sure that the players face hundreds of different types of shots over the final two days.

● The Finishing side of the camp focuses solely on the player’s ability to score goals. Players will be put in different finishing scenarios and the pressure will be increased to make the scenarios more realistic and be able to shoot and finish under game-like pressure. Keep in mind that, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take!”

● Roger Downing - Wings Head Coach, Former Wings Player, high school coach, NCAA DI player.

● Mauricio Vargas - Former Wings Player, FC Wichita Director of Goalkeeping, Friends University Assistant Coach, 6+ years of coaching experience in Costa Rica, CONCACAF Champions League, NAIA, USL2, UPSL, UWSL, Academy, and High School levels. Former U17 & U20 FIFA World Cups/Costa Rica, professional and collegiate player

● Kieran Laking - Wings Player, FC Wichita Women's Head Coach, Friends University Assistant Coach, 7+ years of coaching experience at USL2, UWS, WPSL, NAIA, and ECNL Coach.

● Rafael Simmons - Barton County Community College Head Coach, USSF B License, 13+ years of coaching experience at USL, NPSL, WPSL, NAIA, NJCAA, ECNL National League Director, Academy, and High School levels. Former collegiate player

● Blake Shumaker - Wichita Wings Co-owner & General Manager, FC Wichita Founder & CEO, 17+ years coaching experience at U.S. OPEN Cup, USL, NPSL, UWSL, MASL, UPSL, ECNL, Academy, and High School levels

● Welton Silva - USSF D License, 10+ years of coaching experience at ECNL, Juventus & PSG International Academy levels. Former UEFA Champions League professional player

● Bryan Perez - Former Wings Player, FC Wichita Technical Director. USSF C License, 12+ years of coaching experience at USL, NPSL, NCAA, NAIA, ECNL, and Academy levels. Former FIFA Futsal World Cup/USA professional player and collegiate player

● Martin Penafiel - USSF D License, 27+ years of coaching experience at NCAA, NAIA, NPSL, MASL, UPSL, ECNL, Academy, and High School levels. Former semi-professional and collegiate player

● Jorge Rodriguez - Wings Player, Coaching experience at NCAA DII at Colorado Mesa University and Newman University, Certified Personal Trainer with degrees in Fitness & Health and Kinesiology

MEDICAL RELEASE & WAIVER OF LIABILITY

Playing Waiver & Release of Liability for the Wichita Wings and Hartman Arena

I acknowledge that sports are an extreme test of a person’s physical and mental capacity and carries with it the potential risk of serious bodily injury and in some cases death. I recognize that I the participant may be asked to compete in games for, practice for, participate in, and travel to and from soccer events on behalf of the Wichita Wings, Wichita Indoor Soccer LLC, and I HEREBY ASSUME THE RISK OF PARTICIPATION IN THE SOCCER EVENT.

I agree that prior to participating, I will inspect the facilities and equipment to be used and if I believe anything is unsafe, I will immediately advise the coach or supervisor of such condition(s) and refuse to participate.

I hereby take the following action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors and assigns: 

a) I WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE from any and all claims or liabilities for death or personal injury or damages of any kind, which, arise, out of or relate to my participation in, or my traveling to and from the soccer event.

THE FOLLOWING PERSONS OR ENTITIES: Wichita Wings Soccer, Wichita  Sports Entertainment LLC (Club); Major Arena Soccer League (MASL); City of Wichita; any sponsors and facilities obtained by the Club, or MASL; any Players, Coaches, Officers, Directors, Employees, Representatives, or Agents of the above.

b) I AGREE NOT TO SUE nor bring any type of lawsuit against any persons or entities mentioned above for any of the claims or liabilities that I have waived, released or discharged herein.

c) I INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS the persons or entities mentioned above from any claims made or liabilities assessed against them as a result of my actions.

d) I HEREBY AUTHORIZE Wichita Sports LLC to publish photographs taken of my child and child's name and likeness, for the use in the Club’s print, online, and video based marketing materials as well as other company publications. 

As the parent and natural guardian or legal guardian. I hereby agree to the foregoing Waiver and Liability Release for and on behalf of the named herein. I hereby bind myself, the minor and all other assigns to the terms of the Waiver and Liability Release. I represent that I have legal capacity and authority to act for and on behalf of the minor in the execution of the waiver and Liability Release.

I hereby authorize any licensed physician, emergency medical technician, hospital or other medical or healthcare facility to treat the minor named herein for the purpose of  attempting to treat or relieve any injuries received by said minor arising out of, or  relating to the soccer event. I authorize any such Medical Provider to perform all procedures deemed medically advisable. I realize and appreciate that there is a possibility of complications and unforeseen consequences in any medical treatment, and I assume any such risk for and on behalf of myself and said minor.
